Penzion U Oty is situated in the quiet part of picturesque small town Černý Důl in Krkonoše in Czech Republic (Giant Mountains), which lies between mountain towns Jánské Lázně and Vrchlabí. Penzion offers a beautiful view to Černá hora (1299m above sea level). The house is located 100 meter far from 2 chairlifts, some ski lifts and downhill tracks of different levels of difficulty, where is artificial snow possible. Kid ski park, ski and snowboard school, ski rentals are the part of the Ski Resort Černý Důl.

About Penzion U Oty

At the Penzion U Oty are 4 four bedded rooms (2 beds + 1 bunk bed), 1 triple room (1 bed + 1 bunk bed), 1 double room (1 bunk bed) and 1 six bedded room (3 bunk beds) available. You can use 2 equipped kitchen for cooking (2 fridges, freezer, microwave oven, cookers, kettles). There are two bathrooms with shower bath and one bathroom with bath at the house. For our guests is a big common room (TV/SAT) available.  You can use wireless connection to internet too. In front of the house is situated car park for 8 cars of our guests for free.

You always check in in the weekly intervals - from Saturday 1 PM to next Saturday 10 AM.

You can arrive by the car or by the bus.

from Praha:
From Praha go on the motorway to Mladá Boleslav, go on to Nová Paka and  subsequently to Vrchlabí and then to Černý Důl.

from Hradec Králové:
From Hradec Králové go to Trutnov and subsequently to Svoboda nad Úpou, where you turn to the left and go on to Jánské Lázně and then to Černý Důl.

About small town Černý Důl

Černý Důl is located 684 m above sea level. Černý Důl - original mining settlement spreads out in the valley of Čistá creek, on the foothill of the Giant Mountians. The name of Černý Důl (Black pit) had its origin from the location in the centre of deep black woods. Parts of Černý Důl are villages Čistá in the Giant Mountains and Fořt. Černý Důl is a good starting poit for trips to Černá and Liščí mountain and to the town Jánské Lázně. This attractive region of the east Giant Mountains offers possibilities for hikers, bikers and winter sports friends.
The origin of Černý Důl is related to the beginning of the ore mining in the Giant Mountains, since the year 1383. In 1533 Kryštof from Gendorf got the estate and implemented his big plans of gold, silver and ore mining in the Giant Mountains. Černý Důl got the authority of free mining town in 1564. The decrease in mining was in the 17th century and the mine was definitely closed in 1817. In 18th century started the breaking of the lime stone in the surroundings of Černý Důl. And the lome stone has been broken up to the present day. The limestone from Černý Důl was used during the construction of the fort in Josefov. Nowadays, 9 km long cableway transports the limestone from Černý Důl to Kunčice for processing.
